Let's discuss why BW has gone wrong from both a quality and ratings standpoint.

I think the three main reasons are:

1. Who really created BW? David Eick? Latea Kalogridis?

2. Bad Timeslot

3. Network interference.

I'll post later with more details to bolster my claims. In the meantime, feel free to post your theories.

The style and tone of the series varies greatly from episode to episode.

I think there were a number of copywrite restrictions attatched to the show such as not being able to show mechanistic technology being attatched to a body, which hindered the creative team.

The pilot should have been a two parter.

The Jaime Sommers character being ill defined.

I don't think it's a lost cause though.

1. To many behind-the-scenes changes, starting with the re-casting of Becca

2. Inconsistent character/story development [see 1.]

3. Trying to be too original and independant from the 70's source material.

4. A lack of identity/target audience [see 1-3]

Bionic Woman didn't fail NBC. NBC failed Bionic Woman. Silverman and company ruined the show. After Morgan and his writers left, it never had a real showrunner or a real full time writing staff.
Nonbody's running this show now, NOBODY.

BTW, it's been reported all over the net that it looks like Michelle Ryan is dating Owen Wilson.
NBC really is run now by a gang of schumcks. I can explain more if anybody wants me to.
