A place for general silliness and for discussion about Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman parodies like Benny Hill's Bionic Baby sketch and The Captain and Tennille's Bionic Watermelon sketch.
Donna from That 70's Show. "They should give him a Bionic nose, then he could smell anything." |

I watched the Benny Hill, Bionic baby sketch today. It's from one of his 1977 shows. Benny Hill isn't for everybody but I enjoyed his show. It takes place in 1984. I thought it was pretty funny. Benny Hill did several TV parodies and this one works well. He was very good at slapstick and the Bionic shows are a good target for that. Benny Hill was often very silly and the sketch reflects this too. The Bionic baby has a Bionic eye and big toe. Benny does a funny impression of Lee Majors and he also plays the Bionic baby and the main villian. It was silly but I enjoyed it.
I don't remember much about the Bionic Watermelon sketch on The Captain and Tennile Show. The series is out on DVD but I don't own it. I just remember a watermelon falling off of a watermelon truck and breaking. They put it on an operating table and placed circuit boards inside. I remember the watermelon would hide in a corner, reading a newspaper then would fling itself at a bad guy in slow motion, knocking him out. I remember enjoying the sketch at the time. |

Does anyone else besides me find the Bionic Woman bloopers to be really funny? _________________ You are a facinating blend of beauty and truely remarkable strength. |

This is something I found on the net a while back and thought it was very funny. It still works.
Do a google search for "dialectizer" and click on the first hit. It allows you to convert web pages into various dialects like jive, cockney, Elmer Fudd, redneck and Swedish Chef. It's fun reading this site's front page and news page in the different dialects. _________________ You are a facinating blend of beauty and truely remarkable strength. |

The cable channel G4 have made a parody of Bionic Woman for their series Attack of the Show. Olivia Munn plays Jaime Sommers in the skit. It's a two minute skit and its silly but sort of funny. It's kind of pg-13 rated and a little bit rude.
MadTV has also done a Bionic Woman parody but I haven't seen it. _________________ You are a facinating blend of beauty and truely remarkable strength. |

I saw the MadTV Bionic Woman skit. I thought it was pretty funny and better than the Attack of the Show sketch even though I do like Olivia Munn.
The two sketches have the same basic idea but the MadTV sketch was better done. They had some slow motion effects, computer animation and used the original series sound effects. The actress who played Sarah Corvis was really funny. She used that snear like Katee does sometimes. Some of the jokes were kind of sophmoric and suggestive. _________________ You are a facinating blend of beauty and truely remarkable strength. |
