|
|
The organiser of Bionicon [convention in US this year for the original Bionic shows] has just posted the following on the Yahoo Group:
I was contacted by NBC/Universal last week and had a meeting with them
yesterday. We are now working together and there will be some major
developments for Bionicon regarding the new series coming up, probably
this week. I think I may get most of the cast of the new show. I will
keep you updated.
I have seen where they plan to take the show, it looks like they may be
on to something. The script was sitting on the desk at the
NBC/Universal meeting, I wanted to take it so bad, but I was a good boy.
I wish I could go, but alas... if anyone is looking to attend get lots of pictures!!!
The address for registering for the convention is: http://bionicon2.com/They have a great line up of orginal guests including Lee Majors [his first convention], Richard Anderson [Oscar Goldman] Martin E Brooks [Dr.Rudy Wells] and Jennifer darling [Callahan, Oscar secretary] |

| If this is true that NBC wants to promote BW 2007 at Bionicon, then it's more proof that NBC will stop at nothing to hype BW. Those hard core bionic fans who hate BW 2007 are gonna go crazy. I hope they don't try to disrupt the show. |

I am hopeful they might show the Pilot episode, they would certianly have a captive audience and be able to judge 'fan' reaction. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pilot turns up on the 'Net for download in the next couple of months, as many Pilots do. Agaian a great way to get your procut out there and build anticipation for September [call me cynical!]
The convention should have as many Six Million Dollar Man fans as Bionic Woman [with Lee Majors down to attend], so the audience may be more receptive. |

If somone from the new series attends the convention, I think it would be interesting if someone could interview them for this site. This site is helping to promote the new series. I don't know if it would be possible or not but it would be fun. _________________ You are a facinating blend of beauty and truely remarkable strength. |

The convention organiser has contacted me and is still waiting for final confirmation/release clearance from NBC before he divulges any more details! _________________ Better, stronger, faster.... |

| Bionicon is next week and still no word from NBC. Is BW 2007 going to be promoted there or what? BW is to start prodution on July 24, the same week as San Diego. Is NBC going to skip Comic-Con too? |
